Comprehensive Exams
We know that when it comes to your eyes, it’s not just about a chart and lenses, it’s also about eye health, eye co-ordination and monitoring any subtle changes in your eyes over time with retinal imaging, a photograph of the back of your eye.
We’ll give recommendations on what’s appropriate for your eyes, whether it be lenses, dietary advice or any further testing, and involve you in the process. This usually takes thirty to forty minutes.
OPHTHALMIC MEDICINES PROVIDER
We’ve undertaken postgraduate study to be an ophthalmic medicines prescriber so like your GP we can prescribe topical eye drops if required.
CHILDREN’S VISION ASSESSMENT
Did you know that the first 8 years of a child’s life are critical for eye development and their vision plays an important part in their learning. Some problems not picked up during this time can cause damage and vision loss.
If you’re concerned with anything about your child’s eyes or their vision we’re happy to see them. An examination of your child may include most tests that we perform on an adult and can be performed on a child of any age.
GLAUCOMA, MACULA DISEASE AND DIABETIC RETINOPATHY
Included as part of a comprehensive eye exam, this may also include other tests.
We can detect, diagnose and advise on these and other eye conditions and if needed refer you to a specialist ophthalmologist for further treatment. We’ll keep you and if appropriate, your general practitioner involved in your continuing eyecare.
CONTACT LENS EXAM
We’ll advise you on the most appropriate contact lenses for your vision. Whether you need your current spectacles for distance, reading or a combination of both, there’s probably a contact lens option available for you. If it’s full time or part time wear, for sport or for a special occasion, there’s most likely something that we can help you with.
We’ll guide you through every step of wearing contact lenses and if you’re not too sure, we’ll even give you a free trial if you have any doubts.
