FRAME AND LENSES
Eyecatcher Vision Care understand that being an individual matters, so we carry a wide range of frames to suit you, an individual. The frames we choose are designed by optical designers that understand structure, quality and durability in design and style relevant to optics. You won’t normally see their names on clothes or on a bottle of perfume, and we believe they offer the best value in quality eyewear.
Or you can use your own frame…
If you have a favourite frame that you’d like to use again, we’ll service it and check the suitability. We have the latest equipment that enables us to trace the shape of your frame with your personal prescription details and electronically send this to our lens manufacturers. You can then continue to wear your glasses until your new lenses arrive.
We use some of the world’s leading lens manufacturers to provide you with the most innovative and high technology lenses to give you the most comfortable, appealing and durable corrective lenses. These include Shamir, Essilor, Hoya, Nikon and Rodenstock.
We can advise on the most appropriate sunglasses whether you need a prescription or not. We offer Mako, Bolle and Seregetti prescription sunglasses made through their own program, so you can be assured of the same quality and technology with their non prescription lenses.
We also have a range of the latest designer sunglass frames that are also suitable for your prescription.
Workplace Protective Safety Eyewear — for certified prescription safety eyewear we use Eyres, an Australian company that over the years, has meticulously developed its eye protection range to ensure improved productivity and performance in the workplace without compromising style for everyday use.
Whilst safety is Eyres’ main priority, many users of Eyres are avid outdoor people and their eye protectors are perfectly placed for integration between both the workplace and the outdoors.
Eyewear — manufacturing defects. The most common is paint surfaces peeling (this does not include scratches). Period of cover is 12 months.
Lens coatings — defective surface coatings, or the so called ‘crazing’ when the surface cracks or warps. Commonly caused by extremes in temperatures, this kind of defect is unusual, and can usually be avoided by, for example, not leaving your glasses in a hot car. Period of cover is 24 months.
What's Not Covered
Scratches on lenses. We use quality lenses in all our eyewear. When you find scratches on your lenses, it often means inappropriate use of glasses. However, we understand that accidents do happen. If we determine this to be the case — and the accident happened during the 12 months from the date of purchase — we’ll replace your lenses at half the price.
Servicing, Repairs and Adjustments
We offer complimentary servicing and adjustments for the life of your eyewear, but rather than leave it till something breaks, we’d much prefer you see us every six months. That way your eyewear will last longer and you’ll enjoy wearing them more.
We can repair most frame breakages in store, and for the more complex repairs we utilize a local laboratory that usually only takes a day. There will be a charge for any new parts, should we need them.
