Born and educated in Brisbane and a graduate of Queensland Institute of Technology Optometry and a QUT graduate of Ocular Therapeutics, he’s the co-owner and optometrist at Eyecatcher Vision Care and is proud to provide his optometry services to the Redlands for over twenty-five years.

After gaining experience working for larger corporate optometry practices, he realised he could provide a more personalised service without the constraints of large corporations and established what is now Eyecatcher Vision Care in 2001 with his business partner Catherine.

PERSONAL LIFE & HOBBIES 

Outside of work, he’s trying to get some respectability in his golf handicap, and if he can combine it with travel, he considers that a bonus.

Catherine is the co-owner of Eyecatcher Vision Care and loves being able to help create a personalised look and sometimes even guide them to think outside the square and help express their true personality.

She’s had over twenty-three years in the optical industry and knows that her previous life studying art and image consultancy has been an asset in helping clients. Still, she’s not too sure if her previous career as a teacher has been an advantage.

PERSONAL LIFE & HOBBIES 

In her time away from work, she loves spending time with her eccentric family and has discovered the wonderful world of travel, whether it’s with her husband, or vicariously through the fantastic tales from her customers.

Kerryn loved the service so much she joined the practice. After being a customer of the practice for years, when the opportunity came to become part of the team in 2004, she embraced the challenge and has become a connoisseur of eyewear and an expert in lenses. She loves being able to be help customers in choosing the most suitable frame and lenses for their needs and having worn both contact lenses and glasses from childhood, and she knows the importance of being given all the options to help you see better and feel comfortable with your decisions.

PERSONAL LIFE & HOBBIES 

When she’s not at work, she’s a ‘greenie’ at heart, busy looking after a menagerie of animals at home that includes horses, cats, lorikeets, ducks, chickens and an understanding husband and daughters.

Kim has been with Eyecatcher Vision Care since 2008 and also loves being able to find eyewear to compliment a customer’s look. Whether it’s a classic look or something a little bit more artistic, she loves being able to show everyone the variety of exciting frame choices available.

PERSONAL LIFE & HOBBIES 

Out in the real world, Kim’s been involved with the Point Lookout Surf Life Saving Club and coaching one of the local netball teams, so she knows the benefit of wearing quality sunglasses. She’s also developed a desire for staying in lighthouses around Australia with her husband and daughters, and realised that adult children are a bit more challenging than when they were younger.
