FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions – Eyecatcher Vision Care

Our Warranty Policy

  • What's Covered?

Eyewear — manufacturing defects. The most common is paint surface peeling (this does not include scratches). The period of cover is 12 months.

Lens coatings — defective surface coatings, or the so-called ‘crazing’ when the surface cracks or warps. Commonly caused by extremes in temperatures, this kind of defect is unusual and can usually be avoided by, for example, not leaving your glasses in a hot car. The period of cover is 24 months.

  • What's Not Covered?

Scratches on lenses. We use quality lenses in all our eyewear. When you find scratches on your lenses, it often means inappropriate use of glasses. However, we understand that accidents do happen. If we determine this to be the case — and the accident happened during the 12 months from the date of purchase — we’ll replace your lenses at half the price.

  • Servicing, Repairs and Adjustments

We offer complimentary servicing and adjustments for the life of your eyewear, but rather than leave it till something breaks, we’d much prefer you see us every six months. That way, your eyewear will last longer, and you’ll enjoy wearing them more.

We can repair most frame breakages in store, and for the more complex repairs, we utilise a local laboratory that usually only takes a day. There will be a charge for any new parts, should we need them.
